There are two
methods or options available with
DRY-AIR Dehumidifiers for heating
your pool.
(1)
100% POOL HEATING: Generally,
when you use this feature, we recommend
that you use a pool cover. Without
a cover a great deal of heat is
lost with the evaporation (moisture)
of the pool to the air.
This
100% heating option utilizes compressor
run time, therefore if the room is
not calling for dehumidification
or cooling, the compressors MUST
start to provide the 100% Pool Heating
Option. In the long run, this shortens
the lifespan of the compressors within
these units.
Secondly,
although the pool company may recommend
you filter the pool for 8-10 hours;
this option requires you to run the
filtering system longer.
(2)
POOL HEAT RECLAIM OPTION: This
option is automatic – when
the unit is running in the dehumidification
mode or cooling mode, the excess
heat we remove from the room, and
the excess compressor heat are
directed back to the pool to help
keep it up to temperature. This
does not require the compressors
to start, the system is already
running. You will need a pool heater
with this option.
Note: That
when using the 100% Pool Heating
Option, if the unit goes down for
any reason or service/maintenance,
then you will not have pool heating.
We recommend using the Reclaim Option,
unless this is- a DRY-AIR Geothermal
system.
