A truly wise engineer once stated that “If it is a battle with water, water always wins.” Since there is such an on-going battle, it is good to consider the wisdom of military experts. Their fundamental rule is that, “The best offense is a good defense”. For indoor pools of all kinds, this translates to a basic element of natatorium construction: Vapor Barriers. They are not only essential. They are critical.

The Mystery of Pool Perfume Featured
Posted by Chris Leonetti
Chris LeonettiChris Leonetti has not set their biography yetUser is currently offlineIndoor pools certainly have air quality issues. Most notably: the infamous “chlorine smell” of the pool room itself. The first and most accepted method used to address this problem involves diluting the air with fresh air from outside of the contaminated area. In other cases, attempts are being made to install a return air vent at deck level to draw off the offending air particles.
Neither of these solutions actually addresses the root of the problem. Why does it exist at all? How can it be properly addressed with the least cost? These intriguing questions, when answered sufficiently, can turn around one of the most frustrating pool complaints.

To Bid or Not To Bid - Spec to Spec Bidding of Indoor Pool Dehumidifiers
Posted by Chris Leonetti
Chris LeonettiChris Leonetti has not set their biography yetUser is currently offlineBidding a project is time consuming and stressful. Clients frequently use 6-10 bidders on each project. This is often due to company policy. “Behind-the-scenes” politics may come into play when a company calls for bids knowing that a firm has been pre-selected. Contractors cannot control these factors. The choice to present the best possible bid is always good business and a choice towards success.
Selecting the lowest price is a tempting way in which to choose a contractor for a project. Far too often, it is the determining factor. While price is an important consideration, the bidding process has other pertinent variables.

A maintenance routine and schedule carefully observed saves time and money in many ways.
